Features

  • Quick, Energetic, Articulate
  • Excellent Balance and Response
  • Carbon Fiber Construction with Pure Kevlar Core

Originally designed for 5-string electric violin, the Joule has proven to be an outstanding favorite amongst both acoustic and electric players. Its lively action and energetic response make it a popular choice for bluegrass, and other fiddle styles. Though not as powerful as the GX, the Joule projects a strong, rich tone, and is particularly quick to speak, with a distinct, articulated attack, and a lively bounce.

Manufacturer's Description:
The most innovative of all the CodaBows, the JOULE evokes a performance unattainable with traditional materials. Originally developed exclusively for extended range and electric instruments, this breakthrough design is capable of commanding power from the lower range while still finessing color and nuance from the upper range. Compelling on both extended range and traditional instruments, the JOULE possesses an empowering energy that must be experienced to be truly appreciated.

CodaBow Joule Violin Bow

I absolutely love this bow. J.S. Fisher was very instrumental in helping with my selection of this bow. I'm just a fiddle student and he thoroughly explained the difference in the bows and helped to match the bow with the type of playing. This beautiful bow is so well balanced and crafted. It produces a much richer tone than my previous bow. It just makes playing so much more pleasurable. It was a great choice for me. Thank You!!!

Totally Impressed

Totally impressed, with the sound, the handling, the "look", and the fact that they are made in Minnesota. I had been curious concerning carbon fiber bows for some time, reading all I could find on-line, and while still harboring some reservations, decided to test the waters. My reservations were shown to be unwarranted, I have nothing but praise for this bow. I've hardly played with my wooden bow since my purchase. A traditional player, I was concerned with some reviews that suggested a "cold" tone. I haven't found this to be the case, rather, warm as a waltz on a spring morn.

shopping at Fisher Violins

I recently went on line while researching violin bows, and had the good fortune to come across the Fisher Violins website. I was particularly interested in their bow trial program. I called and spoke with the proprietor, Jim fisher at some length. He was most helpful, and very personable, guiding my selections for trial with expert knowledge. The process of receiving and trying the bows went very smoothly. Shipping back the trial bows was easy. There was a wide variety of bows to choose from; better than at my local music store. I was also able to get a case and some accessories. This proved to be a rewarding and very gratifying experience.
